Canberra - that beautiful, crisp, and lake-side city - continues to be a place of 'firsts' for my career. The Canberra International Music Festival (CIMF) marked my first apprearance with the Song Company, as a Sprogis-Woods-Smith Young Artist in May 2014. It was largely in part of this festival that I was engaged as Caronte in ANU's production of L'Orfeo in 2014, and subsequently (after international audition) the new bass of the Song Company in 2015.
It is therefore, especially fitting that I announce that I will be performing Igor Stravinsky's Pribaoutki in a Russian Masters concert at this year's CIMF. In the same program, I will also perform works by Sergei Rachmaninoff with my Song Company colleagues.
This marks my solo debut for the CIMF and I am especially grateful to Roland Peelman for the opportunity to perform these rare Stravinsky miniatures with orchestra.
