The Australian Vocal Ensemble returns to Adelaide (Nexus Arts, 18 August) and Sydney (ACO on the Pier, 19 August) for what is respectively our only concerts in each city for 2026. We are presenting selections from our Tim Winton project, featuring the incredible words of one of our great authors, deeply rooted in both the blue-grey-green surge of the WA coastline and its hard, dry, rust-red interior — set to music by composers include Emma Jayakumar, Aaron Wyatt, Ruben Davies, and Lachlan Skipworth. Other WA composers including Perry Joyce, Iain Grandage and myself also feature.
